PRIVATE THEATER SPEAKER
SUB600S
Very dense bass reproduction with thundering impact and extraordinary musicality. With our SUB600S experience low frequencies in a new dimension like never before.
SUB600S is to be powered up exclusively with our amplifiers S500EX (Mono, 500W) or RS700 (2U, Rack 19’’, 2x700W, DSP driven).
Integration into an acoustical baffle wall is compulsory to get the maximum bass performances.

INNOVATIVE DESIGN
The Innovating design “DPA” (Down pipe airflow) of our SUB600S allows to slow down the air speed from the vent and reduce the space between the screen and the subwoofer(s).
When most subwoofers on the market might need up to 1m (4’) space between the back wall and the screen, the use of 1 or more SUB600S only requires a maximum distance of 30cm (12″).This design enables to preserve room space and the use of bigger screens for a better visual experience
THE MAGIC TRICK
Thanks to a perfect control of the various parameters (mechanical, magnetic, electrical, and thermal) involved in the functioning of a loudspeaker, the ATOHM LD230 woofer is capable of a cone excursion that can reach 4.00cm. Overpowered, free from any distortion, it provides a fabulous bass extension.

TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE
SUB600S offers a radical different approach of low frequencies with the use of two 9’(23cm) drivers with long cone excursion (4.0cm). The use of 2 x SUB600S brings multiple advantages compared to a classical subwoofer with a 15’ (38cm) driver with a typical 2.5cm cone excursion.
Higher volume of displaced air
Calculation of displaced volume = 4 x Pi x R² x H
- 4 x 23cm (R=11.5)/4.00cm excursion versus 1 x 38cm (R=19)/2.50cm excursion
- 4 x Pi x 11.5² x 4.0= 6 647 cm3 > 1 x Pi x 19.0² x 2.5 = 2 835 cm3
Superior impulse response
Each moving part (cone+ voice coil) weighs :
- 75 grams on LD230
- 250 grams for 38 cm speaker
Superior power handling
- The use of 4 speakers instead of one provides superior motorization
- The use of 4 speakers, therefore 4 moving coils instead of one, provides greater electrical power handling associated with better heat dissipation
